NAVINC-Multimedia Video Interface Renault Carminat DVD Navigation

The NavInc interface allows the connection of video sources to Renault's original navigation system.
The interface creates an input on the original navigation system where various external video sources can be connected (e.g. DVD player, DVB-T TV, iPod, rear view camera, external navigation systems, etc.).
The image is displayed on the navigation screen. The audio from the video sources must be sent to an AUX input or FM modulator.
If multiple audio/video sources are connected to the audio input, you can switch audio via the "Audio Select" option.

It is possible to switch between the different video sources via the supplied button and/or remote control.

The interface is equipped with external connections:

Camera input: for connecting a reversing camera with automatic activation.
Video output: to send video images to headrest monitors or ceiling-mounted displays.
In addition, the interface creates an "Audio Select" +12V signal on each video input.
This means:
If video input (V1) is selected, a +12V signal will be present on the V1 audio selector cable. The audio selector cable for V1 needs to be connected to the DVD player or DVB-T tuner. This is to activate the devices when video input 1 (V1) is selected. When video input 2 (V2) is selected, the source on V1 is switched off and the source on V2 is activated. This also allows switching of the audio.
